Umpires enable matches to take place! Each hockey match requires 2 umpires; typically one will be provided by each team. In some leagues we provide an umpire to officiate in our own fixture however in some leagues we appoint an umpire to officiate as a 3rd party representative in another game.

It's never too early to start umpiring. You'll need to learn both the theories and rules of hockey, but also assert authority on the pitch to command the game. If you're interested in becoming an umpire, or are already qualified and want to umpire for the club, please get in touch!
