Buckingham travelled to Eastcote keen to bag their first league win. With tales a plenty from last seasons fixture bucks knew it would be a tough fixture. The squad didn't fail to disappoint and were good enough to provide some gems for this report even before we started. Jack was good enough to help Trumper find his way to the changing rooms and Walker had won his Clash royale level the team talk could begin. With Connor preaching the importance of discipline during the game bucks were keen to take to the field. Captain Mikey managed to get lost on his way out of the changing rooms and Connor then needing a quick biology lesson during the warm up as to where the hamstrings were the omens were certainly with us.
Buckingham dominated from the start and the high press caused problems for Eastcote, 5 mins in and Mikey slotted home after some good work down the right. This was soon doubled when Ian fired home a rocket past the keeper. Bucks didn't let up and Alex TS was on hand to add a third. Under the pressure from Bucks,Eastcote took to throwing a long ball over the top which caused bucks some issues. Eastcote grabbed a goal back from a PC just before half time.
Bucks continued to press high but couldn't seem to add to the lead. Frustration started to show and the first card appeared ironically to none other than Connor Beesley, sometimes these things write themselves. Eastcote started to build pressure and managed to find a second from a mistrapped PC routine. Trumper added a fourth with a well placed drag flick before Connor received another green card, we all agreed afterwards it should have been yellow and fined him accordingly. Freddie W caused numerous issues with his pace and despite finding himself through on goal decided to aim for the post instead. It was one way traffic and despite Trumper then finding himself with an extra 2 minute rest Connor tried to redeem himself firing in a well placed strike to make it 5. Once again discipline became a factor and Alex TS found himself quite literally in the naughty corner. Despite the numerical disadvantage Bucks won a PC and Kevin fired home with a well worked routine.
MOTM went to Josh M who controlled the midfield and put in a commanding performance.
Special mentions to Jack for foiling the next big crime wave on his way to the match, we missed the actual story so I may have elaborated. Special mentions to Zak for arriving just as match Teas were served and managing to get a plate. DOTD was pretty unanimous with Connor Beesley deciding to take the crown from his brothers head this week. Next week the 1s return to fortress Stowe against South Berks in what is sure to be an exciting game.
