Entering into their first competitive games of the season, our U10s enjoyed a thoroughly developmental day at the Buckinghamshire County Championships on Sunday 8th March.

Fantastically led by coach Charlotte Yates, the U10s faced teams from Marlow, Amersham & Chalfont and Wycombe in a bid to qualify for the regional finals in April. For most of the young Buckingham players this was their first experience of club tournament hockey and every player took part with a smile on their face throughout managing to develop their skills. Ably led by experienced players Lily & Catherine, the latter scoring our solitary goal of the tournament in the final game vs Wycombe, the girls grew throughout and will have learnt a lot from the experience.

Thanks to Charlotte who gave up her morning to coach the girls so well, to Mike & Dom who umpired and to all the parents who supported throughout.
