Buckingham Pirates & Buccaneers found themselves unbeaten and promoted to the next tier of Chiltern league competition after another faultless round on Sunday 13th October.
The Pirates travelled to Harrow Hockey Club and faced competition vs. Harrow, West Herts & Southgate. The boys who were without head coach Zak Jones due to International commitments didn't step off the pedal after dominating two weekends ago and recorded wins across the board:
Buckingham Pirates 3-0 Harrow Hockey Club
Southgate 0-12 Buckingham Pirates
Buckingham Pirates 10-0 West Herts
The Buckingham Pirates will now step up into Division 1 of the Chiltern Leagues structure, looking to gain back to back promotion towards the Premier League.
In the same form, the Buckingham Buccaneers arrived at a rain drenched Stowe School ready to take on teams from Berkhamsted & Hemel, Wycombe & St Albans. The boys who built on their previous performances managed to overcome a determined St Albans side before edging out strong performances from Wycombe & Berko to again top Div 5 and find themselves promoted into Div 4 for the next round of fixtures.
Buckingham Buccaneers 4-1 St Albans
Wycombe 1-2 Buckingham Buccaneers
Buckingham Buccaneers 2-0 Berkhamsted & Hemel.
Thanks must go to Tracy Jones who ably lead the Buckingham Pirates with the help of Juliet Hodgson as manager, as well as all the supportive parents who battled the elements in a wet, windy October afternoon.
